This New Moon falls in sidereal Leo in Magha, “the mighty one,” a sign tied to lineage – familial, spiritual, political, and otherwise chosen. Magha’s deities are the Pitris, the ancestors who helped pave our paths. This Moon directs attention to our lineage(s), their impact on us and the impact we pass on with their influence. We stand on the shoulders of those before us while our choices ripple forward into future generations.

This New Moon sitting with and ruled by Ketu asks us to look at who we’re standing with, and to make sure the alignments are honest and reciprocal rather than blind allegiance out of habit or obligation.
