NEW MOON in MRIGASHIRSHA: June 18 and SATURN RETROGRADE June 17: DON’T REINVENT THE WHEEL

NEW MOON in MRIGASHIRSHA: June 18, 2023 at 00:38am and SATURN RETROGRADE June 17 at 13:28pm eastern time: DON’T REINVENT THE WHEEL

*Saturn Retro is below, but carries a similar message to this New Moon*

The New Moon is in a sweet degree of sidereal Gemini called Mrigashirsha, the searching star, whose main focus is exploration, excitement and ultimately on enlightenment. To get to this place, it will journey high and low, trying on all sorts of beliefs and philosophies, poetry and prose. Mrigashirsha carries with it a deep sense of calm and knowing that there is no stopping or “arriving” – that the search, the constant going and evolving, is the one truth in life.

Because of the planetary connections and 3rd pada of this particular Mrigashirsha New Moon, it is asking us to pause and reflect on previous paths we’ve taken. This is not for nostalgia’s sake but rather to remember what kind of support we received in the past from teachers, philosophers, musicians, and storytellers – and to revisit them in order to help us process whatever we are experiencing now.

Don’t reinvent the wheel or search for something new. Rather, rest and reach back to what’s worked before and bring it to the forefront again. Take a moment to look at your life’s “bookcase” and think about beloved mentors/beliefs/ideas/music/lessons that deeply nourished you. Pull one off the shelf and see how they can support you again – and if they can help you remember who you are if you’ve been feeling lost in the woods.

Some questions to consider:

·       Who/what has helped you feel most nourished on the physical/mental/emotional/soul level?

·       What guides/guidance from the past was solid and helpful? Can you access that again?

·       Have you been constantly on the go, searching for answers or a new direction?

·       Are the quests/questions truly new? Or just updated versions of ones you have already resolved?

·       What past aspects of yourself want to be recalled?

·       How much do you need to change the road you’re on? How much more do you need to wander?

·       Are you merging the old you with the emerging you?

SATURN RETROGRADE in sidereal AQUARIUS: June 17 at 13:28pm – Nov 4, 2023 3:03am eastern time

Whenever a planet changes direction and goes retrograde like Saturn will be for the next 140 days, we can feel like we are suddenly out of steam and don’t have the bandwidth to keep going in the direction we’ve been headed. We need to take a moment to acclimate to the new retrograde energy, one where reflection and recalibrating is more supported than major leaps forward. Some Saturn retrograde questions to consider – and perhaps to read again and again over the next 4.5 months:

1.     Do you feel grounded? Saturn likes predictability and routine. When it goes retrograde, it can feel like we are on shaky ground. We can use this as a time to trim the old before we regroup. Because Saturn likes “right action,” it’s a time to reconsider where we’ve been and where we want to go. Saturn is slow so this will take time.

2.     Do you have boundaries up and being protective? Saturn retrograde gives us space to review what we’ve been allowing and where we are ready to stand in what we need. This is a time when resolutions, forgiveness and moving on are possible.

3.     What are you working on manifesting at the moment? Saturn retrograde can make us pause and reassess what we’ve been focusing on. We get to reconsider our platform, and even dismantle it for a moment, so that we can rebuild it stronger. Most importantly, it asks us how we are being of service.

4.     What systems are being used? As Saturn goes retrograde, we are being given a chance to see if *how* we are working is actually how we *want* to be working. This is an opportunity to rethink how you go about your day.

5.     How’s your commitment? Saturn Retrograde is a rule breaker! The regular responsibilities you’ve been shouldering may now feel like you’re overextending. New ideas that have been considered may also feel too “out there” and not authentic to you. This is a chance to pull back and see what feels best and in alignment. This is a chance to rework some of these ideas so they can stick. Saturn wants us to regard what it touches in our charts as a practice, a dedication, a lesson. It’s a good time to rethink how we show up and why. It’s ok if there is some trial and error involved here. Figuring out what works and is accessible is what Saturn asks of us. It’s ok if it takes time.
