NEW MOON in 13°34 Sidereal Aries BHARANI: What is being released? What is ready to be birthed? (April 27 at 15:31 ET)
New Moons are times of renewal, of planting seeds, and embarking on new paths. This New Moon in Bharani, a degree of sidereal Aries whose name means “the bearer” in Sanskrit – the doula in the sky – and will help unveil and birth what is ready to manifest. Ruled by Mars and Venus and being in the first pada of Bharani ruled by the Sun, this New Moon encourages us to embrace our creativity, to be fearless in expressing our individuality, and to make bold moves on our authentic paths. The deity for this sign is Yama (the god of death) and Bharani’s symbol is the yoni (the female reproductive organ), reminding us that every birth is a death, and every death is a birth; that in order to step into the new, we first do the deeper work of letting go of what we can no longer bear.
This is a moment of massive clarity on who and what is ok in our spheres; if the vibes aren’t there, then it’s time to move on. This Bharani Moon is giving us a chance to release these old patterns and partnerships to make way for whatever is yearning to manifest. It is a powerful sign and time. Bharani is the ultimate creator, ready to bring forth our vision of the moment. Rather than of operating out of fear and pushing the urge down, it’s giving us the strength to embrace it and make space for the new. The Full Moon on Nov 5, 2025, will also be in Bharani, giving us 6 months to really get to work. We are encouraged to harness the creative power deep within, to look at our connections and see if they are still sympatico, and ultimately to have the courage to express our visions.
The planets over the last two months and for the next month have made and will continue to make big moves in the sky. And so – as above, so below: we are experiencing intense shifts in our own lives, in our communities, and in our personal paths, habits and mindset. When planets make changes, it can be stressful to adjust to the new energy presenting. Since they have been piled up in sidereal Pisces, the urge has been very prominent to move beyond what has been, and to walk towards a new expression based on our ideals instead of our previous allegiances or responsibilities. Saturn is wanting to help us bring the dream into reality. This will take time, diligent effort, and regular review of the steps we are making (Saturn is in Pisces for the next 3 years, March 2025-Feb 2028). This New Moon in Bharani is helping us make the necessary moves in that new direction.
